About the Author

L. D. Lampley grew up on a small farm, cliche but true. Entertainment options were limited, with nine people in one house, only one TV, and the same books read over and over again. So, imagination became the ultimate escape. With a background in art and design, Laura always had a creative eye, but it was books and old black-and-white films that truly opened up new worlds away from the heat and the ever-present dirt under her fingernails. Influenced by the suspense of Alfred Hitchcock, the sharp dialogue of Twelve Angry Men, and the thought-provoking themes of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, she developed a love for storytelling that blends gripping human drama with the endless possibilities of the cosmos.

Now, she spends her time weaving tales of wormholes, alien intrigue, government secrets, and the age-old question: What if aliens are the good guys? When not lost in space (fictionally speaking), Laura enjoys contemplating conspiracy theories, debating movie plots, and knowing that the toil, pain, hardships, and tragedies of our childhood are the raw fuel to create worlds.
